Battle of the Books at STEM Launch are Beyond the Bell clubs. There are two clubs, Elementary BOB and Middle School BOB. Registration requires signing up at Beyond the Bell and filling out and turning in the appropriate paperwork.
Battle of the Books is a club where students "battle" in teams of 4-6 to show their book knowledge. Each club has a slightly different format. In Elementary BOB, students answer questions in the format, "In which book..." with the title of the book and the author's name. Elementary BOB participants also write 5 questions per each of the five books they read. Middle School BOB, students answer questions using Socrative, an online test site. There are district battles for the winning school teams in the spring.
